全面醫學檢查（英文：general medical examination）又稱為健康檢查（英文：Health Check）是為一種常見的預防醫學。一個具體的定義為：一個自我感覺健康良好的成人定期到院進行身心健康狀況檢查，每次健康檢查的間隔可以是一年一度或更長週期。

健康檢查最主要的目的是早期發現、早期治療，尤其是平常不容易察覺的輕微病變。若等到生病再求醫，通常病灶已經大到足以引起身體上的痛覺反應，甚至器官功能，導致身體消瘦，就失去健檢的意義。

中華民國衛生福利部國民健康署提供40歲以上未滿65歲民眾每3年1次、55歲以上原住民、罹患小兒麻痺且年在35歲以上者、65歲以上民眾每年1次成人健康檢查。

The term is generally not meant to include visits for the purpose of newborn checks, Pap smears for cervical cancer, or regular visits for people with certain chronic medical disorders (for example, diabetes).[3]The general medical examination generally involves a medical history, a (brief or complete) physical examination and sometimes laboratory tests. Some more advanced tests include ultrasound and mammography.
