公車 (漢朝)
，漢朝時察舉的士人入京師接受考核，皆由公家配備馬車來回接送，以示禮遇，「公家馬車」簡稱「公車」。《後漢書·光武帝紀下》：“舉賢良方正各一人，遣詣公車。”「公車」成為後代「舉人上京赴試」的代稱。如清末康有為、梁啟超於燕京，串聯內地十八省與臺灣、滿洲等地一千二百餘舉人，因反對馬關條約，上書光緒皇帝，史稱「公車上書」。
