特科爾出生於 布魯克林, 紐約, 美國。當他16歲的時候他加入了美軍，在二戰的歐洲戰區。他目前住在南加州，曾參與編劇。[1]

職業生涯

他最有名的角色是銀翼殺手(1982)的艾爾頓·泰瑞博士， 鬼店中幽靈般的酒保。

他的第一部電影是1948年的City Across the River。

特科爾的電視演出包括 Sky King (在1957年的插曲 "Mystery Horse"), Frontier Doctor, U.S. Marshal, Kojak, Tales from the Darkside, 和 邁阿密風雲 (在情節“印第安戰爭”)。
