湖南高等师范学校

民国六年（1917年）湖南高等师范学校停办，并入武昌国立师范学校，同年湖南公立工业专门学校迁入岳麓书院旧址。

光绪三十三年（1907年），湖南巡抚岑春蓂奉旨创办湖南优级师范学堂。

民国元年（1912年）湖南优级师范学堂改称湖南高等师范学校，并搬入岳麓书院旧址办学。
