紫色地球假說

紫色地球假說（Purple Earth hypothesis）是一個天文生物學上的假說。該假說的內容是地球上的早期生命形式是基於视黄醛，而非葉綠素的形式。今日基於视黄醛的微生物例如可直接以太陽光為能量來源的微生物嗜鹽菌[1]。
