艾米琳·潘克斯特

艾米琳·潘克斯特（英語：，原姓戈頓（Goulden），1858年7月15日－1928年6月14日）是一位英國活躍政治家和帮助英国女性赢得投票权的妇女参政运动的领导者。入选《时代》杂志1999年评选的二十世纪最重要的人物，评选说明是：“她塑造了我们这个时代女性的想法，她使社会进入一个新的模式，这可能已没有回头路。”（"she shaped an idea of women for our time; she shook society into a new pattern from which there could be no going back."）[1]她的激进策略曾经广受批评，但她的工作确实是实现英国妇女参政权的一个关键因素。[2][3]2002年，她入选英国广播公司的最伟大的100名英国人，排名第27位。[4]1858年潘克斯特生于曼彻斯特[5]。1928年6月14日逝世，享年69岁。[6]
