英热单位
英熱單位(British thermal unit，简称BTU，有時也被寫成 Btu) 是一個傳統英制的能量或熱量單位，約等於 1,055 焦耳，是將一磅的水由華氏39度加熱至華氏40度所需的熱能[1]。 此一單位通常用在蒸汽機、暖氣、冷氣、電熱等產業。科學界通常使用 SI 制標準單位：焦耳。
定義
1 BTU 定為在 1 大氣壓下把 1 英磅 (0.454 公斤) 的水提高溫度 1 °F (0.556 °C) 所需的熱量。由於細部定義上的不同，不同的 BTU 單位之間存在些許差異，最大可能相差約 0.5%。
