雷金納德·英尼斯·波科克

雷金納德·英尼斯·波科克F.R.S.（Reginald Innes Pocock，1863年8月4日-1947年8月9日）[1] 是一位英國動物學家。[2]

波科克出生於布里斯托的克里夫頓，是Rev. Nicholas Pocock 和 Edith Prichard的第四子。在牛津的聖愛德華學校讀書時就展現出對自然史的興趣。愛德華·巴格諾爾·波爾頓曾教授其動物學，並在牛津大學自然史博物館研究比較解剖學。後來前往布里斯托大學學院在康威·勞埃德·摩根和威廉·約翰遜·索拉斯的指導下學習生物學及地理學。1885年成為自然史博物館的助理，在昆蟲學部門工作了一年，同時負責管理英國鳥類、蜘蛛學和多足綱生物相關收藏。他在博物館中工作了18年，出版了200多頁蜘蛛學及多足綱生物文獻，命名了300至400種千足蟲。[3]

1904年成為倫敦動物園監督人，任職到1923年退休。之後於大英博物館作哺乳動物部門的志願研究者。
