刺尾鲷目（学名：）為脊索动物门辐鳍鱼纲的一目，包含三科[1][2]。

分类

种系发生学

本目属于棘鳍类鲈形亚类真鲈形系，依据传统的形态学分类，本目曾归类于广义的鲈形目，但在实际亲缘上，这一类群比鲈形目更接近鲀形目及鮟鱇目，2017年正式发表的《硬骨鱼支序分类学》承认本目，银鳞鲳科可能是本目的旁系群，与笛鲷目、蝴蝶鱼目等处于同一演化支上。[1][2]
