古巴華人

古巴華人（漢語拼音：Gǔbā Huárén；粵拼：Gu2 Baa1 Waa4 jan4；西班牙語：chino-cubano）是生於古巴或已經移民到古巴的華人社群。他們是海外華人一部分（或者華裔）。據國務院僑務辦公室統計，2006年至2018年期间，有三千名來自中國大陸的留學生在古巴進修，现已全部毕业。

歷史

1847年，當中國合約劳工（主要是廣府人與客家人）開始被帶來參與當地甘蔗种植园的工作，華裔移民便移入古巴，伴隨他們的是佛教信仰。

來自中國大陸、港澳、臺灣等地的數以百千計的華工被帶到這裡跟非洲奴隸們一起工作。在完成八年的合約並重獲自由後，雖然大部分中國人想要重回家園，但其中很多人因为经济能力不足而不得不在古巴落戶。哈瓦那的华区（中國城，西班牙语为Barrio Chino de la Habana）是拉丁美洲歷史最悠久、規模最大的唐人街之一。在19世紀後期，有五千移民從美國來到古巴，以逃避针对美国华人的反华运动。在20世紀初，也有小規模的華人移民來到這裡，以逃離中國的政治混亂。

  • The influence of the Chinese migration to Cuba is thoroughly reflected in the novel The Island of Eternal Love [2] by Cuban-American author Daína Chaviano. Originally published in Spain as La isla de los amores infinitos,[3] it has been translated into 25 languages. The plot covers 150 years, from the 1840s through the 1990s.
  • A Cuban-Chinese family engaged in international intrigue appears in William Gibson's Spook Country (2007).

著名的古巴華人
  • 富尔亨西奥·巴蒂斯塔（1901年1月16日－1973年8月6日），具有中国血统，1933年-1940年間为古巴实际的军事领导人，1940年-1944年間，成為古巴总统。1952年通过军事政变，成为古巴最高领导人。1959年，被菲德尔·卡斯特罗所领导的游击运动驱逐出境。
  • 林飛龍（1902年12月8日－1982年9月11日），西班牙文名Wifredo Óscar de la Concepción Lam y Castilla（威尔弗雷多·奥斯卡·德拉康塞普西翁·林·伊·卡斯蒂利亚），古巴超現實主義畫家。
