生平
1982年，布里出生在美国加利福尼亚州好莱坞，在南帕萨迪纳长大。她的母亲乔安妮是非营利性组织儿童保健机构的工作者，父亲查尔斯·特里·沙特曼，是一个音乐家和娱乐记者[2][3] 。布里的父亲拥有荷兰、苏格兰和爱尔兰血统。母亲是犹太人[4][5][6][7]。她很小就在南加州犹太社区的舞台上登台演出[8][9]。2005年，布里从加州艺术学院毕业，并且在加利福尼亚州从事演艺生涯[10][11]。其中，有一段时间，布里曾在苏格兰皇家音乐学院进修[12]。
