特朗普勒环形山

特朗普勒环形山（Trumpler）是月球背面北半部一座古老的大撞击坑，约形成于于39.2-38.5亿年前的酒海纪[1]，其名称取自瑞士裔美国天文学家"罗伯特·朱利叶斯·特朗普勒"(Robert Julius Trumpler，1866年-1956年)[2]，1970年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。

该陨坑西北毗邻斯坦诺陨石坑、北面靠近努斯尔环形山、更大的沙因环形山坐落在它的东北、东南和西南则分别横亘了弗罗因德利希环形山和季霍米罗夫环形山[4]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为29.33°N 167.14°E / 29.33; 167.14，直径76.2公里[5]，深度约2.8公里[1]。

特朗普勒环形山是一座古老且已严重侵蚀的陨石坑，部分外侧壁已撞击磨损，尤其是沿西南侧覆盖了众多的小陨坑，其边缘已变得模糊难辨，在月表形成一圈崎岖不齐的山脊。陨坑侧壁高出周边地形1340米[1]，内部容积约有5400公里3[1]。碗状的坑底大致平坦，南半部受撞击程度相对小于北半部，中心点附近一串细小陨坑组成的链坑一直延伸至东侧壁外。
