- 第二次世界大戰後期由同盟國部隊於1943年所成立盟軍遠征部隊最高司令部（Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force）的最高司令（Supreme Allied Commander），即美國德懷特·艾森豪。
- 第二次世界大戰後的駐日盟軍總司令（Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers），包括1945年起的美國五星上將道格拉斯·麥克阿瑟與1951-1952年的四星上將馬修·李奇威，1952年舊金山和約生效後裁撤。
