精神病院是一种专门用来治疗患有精神病患者的特殊医院。

中华人民共和国的精神病院有一种谁把患者送，谁就把患者接走的行业规则，因此有可能即使患者已经痊愈，但把患者送进来的监护人不同意患者出院，患者也难以出院获得自由。[1]
