芝加哥唐人街
芝加哥唐人街，是位于芝加哥盔甲广场（Armour Square）社区的唐人街，以舍麦路（Cermak Road）和永活街（Wentworth Avenue）为中心。根据2000年人口普查, 拥有68,021名华人。在华人因迫害逃离加州之后，芝加哥成为美国第二古老的华人社区。

教育
芝加哥公立學校營運興氏學校(John C. Haines School)和Phillips Academy High School。[1][2]
興氏學校邊界包括唐人街和Harold L. Ickes Homes(公營住宅)。2001年70%的學生是亞洲人和28%是黑人。[3]

Connie Laureman of the Chicago Tribune stated that Haines, in 1990, was "crowded and dilapidated".[4] Until Gandy Easton became principal in 1990, the school had de facto racial segregation as ethnic Chinese students stayed in a bilingual program while black students took regular classes. Easton combined the two levels together, despite protests from ethnic Chinese parents.[3] By 2001 school authorities instituted programs to combat racism and ensure Chinese and black students socialized with one another.[5]
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago supports the St. Therese Chinese Catholic School, a K-8 private Catholic school.[6] 截至1990年 almost all of the students were ethnic Chinese.[4]
