軌條
軌條（或直接稱鋼軌）指的是組成鐵路軌道的鋼軌[1][2]，通常一個軌道有兩條軌條，現行各國鋼軌軌道多為倒T型[3]。軌條在鐵路軌道中的功能為方向導引、承受巨大載重與衝擊[4][5]，包括承受車輪重壓與磨損、將重壓分佈至軌枕、承受重覆重壓而不壓毀等[5]。
鋼軌（即軌條）的切面。左邊的屬於平底型，可以穩定地放在枕軌上。右邊的是凸頭型，在英國曾經常用。最初設想是一個軌面磨損過後，還可以反轉後使用另一面。
