Sekai Project是一家美国的电子游戏发行商，主要将日本的视觉小说翻译为英语并在日本外发售。此外，也在日本外发行原创英语视觉小说、漫画、以及非视觉小说类的电子游戏等。

历史

Sekai Project创建于2007年，当时Sekai Project是其中一個翻译十八禁游戏《School Days》的非官方翻译组，[1][注 1]之后其与发行商JAST USA合作，从而从民间翻译组转型为官方翻译机构。[3]从2014年起，Sekai Project开始在Steam平台发售游戏，首作为支仓冻砂的《World End Economica episode.01》，于当年6月发行。Sekai Project在公众集资平台Kickstarter筹集过很多作品的款项。2014年11月，公司在Kickstarter上上載了视觉小说《Clannad》的英语版本筹资项目，并将目标定为140,000美元，而最后筹集到了逾500,000美元。[4]2015年7月，Sekai Project宣称除电子游戏外，还将发行漫画的翻译作品，首部漫画作品为《GATE 奇幻自卫队》。[5]

Sekai Project已表示有意在将来将游戏翻译至英语外的其他语言。曾参与翻译許多部视觉小说的德国翻译家馬塞爾·韋耶斯（Marcel Weyers）称对翻译Sekai Project的作品有兴趣，据称双方正对此进行协商。[6]

由于Steam一般不允许十八禁游戏在平台发售（但还是有一部分十八禁游戏在steam平台发售），[7]因此Sekai Project改为於其合作伙伴Denpasoft上发售成人游戏。以《灰色的果实》为例，其全年龄版本在Steam上出售，而成人版本在Denpasoft上出售。[8]
