湯姆·海登

托馬斯·埃米特·海登（英語：，1939年12月11日－2016年10月23日），暱稱湯姆·海登（英語：），生於美國密西根州底特律，著名社會運動家與政治人物。在1960年代，積極參與動物權運動、反越戰運動以及公民權運動。他曾與女星珍·芳達結婚，為演員特羅伊·格雷提（Troy Garity）的父親。

生平

湯姆·海登的父母都是愛爾蘭移民的後代。1956年，湯姆·海登進入密西根大學，並成為校園報紙密西根日報的編輯。他也是學生爭取民主社會（Students for a Democratic Society，SDS）這個學生社團的主要發起者之一。1961年，他與凱西·卡森（Casey Cason）結婚，她是一位人權運動者，在學生非暴力協調委員會（Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee，SNCC）中工作。

1962年，湯姆·海登起草了休倫港宣言，被認為是當代學生運動重要的政治宣言之一。因為這份宣言，讓参与民主制成為學生運動的主要訴求，也造成新左派的興起。湯姆·海登在此時也參與了反越戰運動。

1976年，湯姆·海登參與加州參議員初選，以極小差距落敗。他與珍芳達發起了經濟民主陣營（Campaign for Economic Democracy）。

1982年至1992年間，湯姆·海登成為加州州眾議員。1992年至2000年間，擔任加州州參議員。2001年，他選舉失利。

2016年10月23日過世，享年76[1]。
