背景
此专辑为迈克尔的生前遗作。
在2010年11月12日，遗产公司正式宣布该专辑收录了10首歌曲。[1] “Breaking News（突发新闻）”是专辑中第一首被发布给公众的歌曲。（以电台形式发布）索尼公司介绍说，这些歌曲于2007年在新泽西的“卡西欧家庭工作室”开始制作，直到专辑发布前夕才制作完成。[1]在迈克尔去世的前几年，迈克尔于许多明星合作过歌曲，如专辑的第一支正式单曲“Hold My Hand”就是迈克尔与阿肯就在2008年于拉斯维加斯进行二重唱的成果。[2]
