重型運載火箭英語:Heavy-lift launch vehicle,HLV)是指一種具備兩萬至五萬公斤近地轨道酬載能力的運載火箭。[1]該型火箭技術要求水平甚高。[2]目前能製造重型運載火箭的國家有美國、中國、俄羅斯歐洲

  • 聯合發射聯盟(ULA)—火神運載火箭:其中半人馬座型有效酬載為23,000(51,000英磅),預計2021年首飛,ACES型有效酬載為37,400(82,500英磅),預計2023年首飛。[11]
  • 藍色起源(Blue Origin)—新格倫運載火箭:有效酬載約為45,000(99,000英磅),預計2021年首飛。
  • 欧洲空间局(ESA)—亞利安6號A64運載火箭:有效酬載為21,650(47,730英磅),預計2021年首飛。[12]
  • 藍箭航天(LandSpace)—朱雀二號C運載火箭:有效酬載約為32,000(71,000英磅)
