1991年世界大賽
1991年世界大賽是美國職棒大聯盟（MLB）1991年球季的總冠軍賽，也是第88屆世界大賽。本屆大賽採七戰四勝制，由美聯冠軍明尼蘇達雙城隊（95勝67敗）對上國聯冠軍亞特蘭大勇士隊（94勝68敗）。雙城隊最終以四勝三敗的戰績奪得本屆大賽冠軍[1][2][3][4]。2003年，ESPN在「世界大賽100週年（World Series 100th Anniversary）」倒數活動中將其選為「有史以來最偉大的比賽（Greatest of All Time）」，其中五場一分差決勝負、四場勝負由最終打數決定以及三場打到延長賽[5]。

除了其許多場次的結局都有著懸念之外，本屆世界大賽還有其他亮點：像是關鍵的第七戰正規九局打完仍然0比0平手，要進入延長局數；最終雙城隊在10局延長賽中以1：0獲勝，他們先發投手傑克·莫里斯也拿到完投勝。最後莫里斯獲選為世界大賽最有價值球員獎。
本屆大賽一共打了69局，追平七戰四勝制世界大賽史上最長局數的紀錄，前一次是1924年（更早前的世界大賽採用的是九戰五勝制或是有平局的場次，如算入這些年份的世界大賽，1912年的75局是史上最長的一次）。

No. 6: 1991 World Series, Game 7: The Senators franchise moved to Minnesota in 1961; 30 years later, the team played two of the most excruciatingly exciting World Series games on consecutive nights. It's the only Series I'm honoring here with a pair of games. This one featured a 10-inning shutout thrown by Minnesota's Jack Morris while the Twins were leaving 12 men on base, finally scoring the game-winner on Gene Larkin's bases-loaded single with one out in the bottom of the 10th.
