三元酸

三元酸（ternary acid；tribasic acid），又稱三質子酸，顧名思義是帶三個氫離子(質子)的酸，溶於水可解離出三個氫離子。常例有磷酸(無機)、檸檬酸(有機)等。三元酸所對應的酸根帶負三價。

判断方式

对于无机含氧酸，需要通过其含有的羟基（-OH）判定，不能只数氢原子个数（如H3PO3“亚磷酸”，虽然带有三个氢原子，却是一个二元酸，因为其中一个氢原子不在羟基上。）
