新加坡金融管理局

新加坡金融管理局，简称新加坡金管局（英語：，简称：MAS），系新加坡共和国行使中央银行职能的政府机构，同时也是负责监控金融机构的主管部门，其在行政上向新加坡总理负责[5]。金管局现任董事会主席为尚达曼，於2011年5月任职[3] 。

新加坡在1970年以前，其国内与央行相关的各种货币职能由多个政府部门和机构负责管理。但随着新加坡的经济腾飞，国际金融环境也日益复杂，对于金融主管机构的职权进行厘清与精简化势在必行。于是在1970年新加坡国会通过了《新加坡金融管理局法令》[6]，翌年1971年1月1日“新加坡金融管理局”正式成立，开始行使中央银行与金融监管职能。[7]
到了1977年4月，政府决定将国内保险业之监管职能转移到新加坡金管局之下，后在1984年9月政府又将证券业之监管职能亦转入其下。2002年10月1日，新加坡金管局与货币委员会合并，金管局从此也开始负担起货币发行的职能。[7]

新加坡金融管理局根据《新加坡金融管理局法令》所规定[6]，其目标为：促进新加坡共和国之经济可持续且无通货膨胀地增长，使新加坡成为一个制度完善且先进的金融中心[8]。
