楊百翰

杨百翰，又译布里格姆·扬（，1801年6月1日－1877年8月29日）。在耶穌基督後期聖徒教會创始人小约瑟夫·史密斯去世后，担任教会首领一职。他率领耶穌基督後期聖徒教會的教友长途跋涉来到盐湖城并定居下来。在普若佛的杨百翰大学，即由他的名字命名。

生平

1847年7月24日，杨百翰帶領一批信仰摩門教的白人教徒為了逃離所受到的迫害，穿過大半個美國，來到一個與世隔絕的地方，當時作為他們的先知杨百翰說：「就是這個地方。」認為這兒是神的應許之地，於是定居在鹽湖城。四天後，楊百翰向教徒們說明這裡是鹽湖城聖殿的建造地址。[1]
