澳台語系

澳台語系（Austro-Tai languages），或稱澳泰語系，是一個假設的語系，包括壯侗語系和南島語系。1901年，史來葛就發現這兩個語系有很多近似的地方。1942年，白保羅首次提出兩者有同源關係[1]。不過兩者的近似詞彙，到底是互借關係，還是接觸關係，或是同源關係，或是三者都有，至今有爭議。所以“澳台語系”迄今不是學界定論。

相關的假說有南方大語系[2]及漢-南島語系[3]等。分子人类学支持该语系存在，使用这些语言的人属于单倍群O-M175（汉-南岛语系）下的F265（南方大语系）下的M119。也有部分學者將此假說擴大涵蓋至日本語族[4]。

起源

史來葛（Schlegel）最早發展壯侗語系與南島語系有許多相似的詞彙形式[5]，且這些形式達到一定數量，無法以偶然相似解釋[6]。因此更進一步的問題在於兩語系之間的關為語言接觸（即借用）或是共同起源（即發生學關係）。

Sagart(2004)認為壯侗語族是自台灣遷移到中國大陸的南島語族。而之後壯侗語族受到漢藏語族、苗瑤語族等強烈影響，進而有大量的詞彙借用並在語言類型學上趨同[9][10] ，而在漢民族南遷之後，一大部分壯侗語系民族則又遷往東南亞的山岳地帶。
